AVD-based cloud desktops for organizations that need secure, consistent computing on any device, including BYOD, remote workers, and shared workstations.
Key Deliverables
Azure Infrastructure
Governed Azure landing zones and cloud migration
Azure landing zone design, governance framework, workload migration, and ongoing cloud operations. Built to run, not just deployed.
Key Deliverables
M365 Security
Industry security framework alignment and security baselines
Microsoft 365 security assessments, baseline implementations, and industry security framework alignment, reducing identity, email, and endpoint risk using capabilities already in your M365 licensing.

Key Deliverables

Why "Governance-First"?
Most Microsoft platform implementations fail not because of technical problems, but because they're deployed without a governance framework, operational documentation, or admin training. The result is predictable: Teams channels multiply without ownership, SharePoint becomes a file dump, Intune policies drift, and nobody knows who manages what. The technology works, but the organization just can't operate it.
Safari Micro's governance-first approach means the governance framework is designed before the first workload moves. That includes naming conventions, admin role assignments, security baseline policies, data retention rules, and the operational runbook your IT team will use after we leave. Implementation is the easy part. The documentation is what makes it last.
Every Modernize IT engagement is staffed by engineers who hold active Microsoft certifications, and led by Jeremy Wallace, a Microsoft MVP in Azure and Modern Work. That credential isn't honorary: it means direct access to Microsoft engineering teams, early visibility into platform roadmap changes, and a level of platform depth that most regional MSPs simply can't match.
Modernize IT Results
Microsoft 365 + Tenant Migration
Challenge
Organization needed to consolidate multiple acquired businesses from separate M365 tenants into one primary environment
Result
343 mailboxes, 242 OneDrive migrations, and 188 SharePoint sites consolidated with zero data loss.
Microsoft 365 + Teams Phone
Challenge
Government organization needed to migrate existing phone system workflows into Microsoft Teams Phone while preserving call routing structure
Result
Existing call flows, auto attendants, and call groups recreated in Teams Phone with number porting and admin training delivered.
SharePoint + OneDrive Migration
Challenge
Organization needed to modernize file access by aligning SharePoint permissions to security groups and migrating user home drives into OneDrive for Business
Result
18 user home drives migrated into OneDrive for Business and ~4TB of shared SharePoint data aligned to group-based permissions.
Infrastructure + Virtualization
Challenge
Public-sector organization needed to transition physical server workloads to a scalable, centrally managed hyperconverged virtualization platform without disrupting operations
Result
Nutanix AHV cluster deployed with storage pools configured, firmware validated, and physical server workloads migrated into the new hyperconverged environment.
Modernize IT + Endpoint Identity
Challenge
Organization operating in a hybrid identity model needed to convert synchronized AD accounts to cloud-only identities, migrate file shares to SharePoint and OneDrive, and re-enroll Windows devices through Intune Autopilot
Result
Cloud-only Azure AD identity model achieved, file shares migrated to SharePoint and OneDrive, and Windows devices enrolled via Intune Autopilot with user profiles recreated.
Google Workspace to Microsoft 365
Challenge
Professional services organization needed to migrate approximately 124 mailboxes from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 while maintaining reliable mail flow and minimizing user disruption during cutover
Result
124 mailboxes migrated from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 using BitTitan MigrationWiz. Tenant prepared, routing domains configured, pre-stage migration completed, and MX record cut over to Exchange Online.
SharePoint Online Migration & File Sync
Challenge
Organization needed to migrate Windows Server file share content into SharePoint Online while preserving Active Directory permissions alignment and keeping newer files flowing into SharePoint during the migration window
Result
File share migrated to SharePoint Online using Sharegate with AD-to-SharePoint permissions mapping, copy-if-newer migration settings, error remediation, and scheduled one-way synchronization established.
File Share Migration + Server Decommission
Challenge
A regional business needed to migrate approximately 3 TB of shared file data from a legacy Windows Server 2008 R2 domain controller to SharePoint Online while also decommissioning the aging server, requiring careful planning around file structure, permissions, FSMO roles, printer shares, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Result
3 TB of shared file data migrated to SharePoint Online using ShareGate with security group alignment. Legacy domain controller decommissioned after FSMO role transfer, printer share and DHCP migration, and Group Policy updates, eliminating aging server infrastructure from the environment.
Branch Office Infrastructure Modernization
Challenge
Distributed operations organization needed to modernize infrastructure at a regional office by deploying a new VMware host, supporting a Windows File Server VM, and integrating Azure File Sync to align local file services with a cloud-connected storage architecture.
Result
VMware host installed and configured, Windows File Server VM built, Azure File Sync agent configured and connected to the organization's Azure sync architecture, delivering a hybrid infrastructure model combining local virtualization with Azure-connected file services.
File Services Modernization & M365 Migration
Challenge
Organization relied on a physical Windows file share server for business-critical storage. Azure AD Connect also needed to be migrated to a newer Windows Server instance, requiring careful coordination to preserve access and maintain synchronization continuity.
Result
Three coordinated workstreams delivered: physical file server converted to Hyper-V VM via Disk2VHD, file share content migrated to SharePoint Online with permissions restructured and users trained, and Azure AD Connect migrated to newer Windows Server with synchronization continuity maintained.
